3.2.4 Generate Advices for the Insurance Company

For generation of advice to an insurance company for the Islamic LC product, you need to associate the message type ‘Islamic LC_INSURANCEADV’ for the events BISS and AMND respectively. During authorization of these two events, the system will process the messages for all import Islamic LCs.

Refer to the ‘Product Definition’ User Manual under Modularity for details about events, accounting entries and advices.

All the messages are sent to the insurance company via mail. For this reason, you need to specify the insurance code (Receiver) and the mailing address of the Insurance Company in the Islamic LC Drafts screen.

The LC_INSURANCEADV advice consists of the LC amount along with the tolerance value. It is directed to the Insurance Company, and if tolerance is not applicable, it is shown as Nil.
