8 EWPS Requirements
The EWPS Java web application deployment supports Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 17 64-bit. This table shows the version of Java you need for each supported platform:

Web application server
When running on Windows, Linux or Solaris. you can use the following Java web application servers and servlet containers:
- Tomcat version 8, 9, 10.0
(Tomcat 10.1+ requires migration from javax to jakarta using Tomcat migration tool)

Note As shown above, Oracle tests with Tomcat 9 on Windows 2022 OS with JRE 17.
The EWPS Java web application deployment requires the following version of Docupresentment to process web services requests:
- Docupresentment version 13.0 or higher
Message bus systems
EWPS communicates to Docupresentment using a message bus provider such as Oracle WebLogic JMS, IBM WebSphere MQ, MSMQ.
