Scenario 3: Upgrading from Version 2.4

When planning a Docupresentment Server upgrade it is important to note the path name to the installation. If the previous version included version reference in the directory name, e.g. /home/userid/int024, /app/docupresentment2.4, /scratch/dmkr/odds2.4 or some other semblance of a version number in the path, you must decide to keep the naming convention same or rename the directory to /home/userid/odds_1 or some similar generic name

Docupresentment Server will correctly run in a directory path with a prior version name; however, accepting this naming convention could cause confusion during future support calls, so be sure to properly report your current version, revision, and patch level during conversations with support.

If you decide to modify the installation path to be agnostic to version you must modify the following INI files in the docserv directory to reflect the new naming convention:

• Docserv.xml (any request types that might call attachments)
• Bridge configuration INI and/or XML files (Documanage bridge configuration files such as dmg_brs.ini
• Documaker Bridge and Documaker Server RPDRunRP configuration files such as dap.ini, rpex1.ini, rpex1rpd.ini, and RPDRunRP fsiuser.ini and fsisys.ini files)
• Any client specific INI or XML (docclnt.ini, docclient.xml, dsi.ini) files which reference the directory location.
