Creating a Content Data Table Row

Introduction

Content Data Table Row in Communication Cloud allows users to add styles to the table rows in Content Data Table. You can associate different style specifications to each row of the Content Data Table by associating Table Row configuration.

Prerequisites

Following are the prerequisites to consider before creating a Content Data Table Row configuration in Communication Cloud Service:

Note:

Ensure that you complete the prerequisites before proceeding.
Prerequisites Details
Set the Config ID Config ID must be Active.

Ensure that all dependent configurations and associations are part of the same open Config ID.

See Creating Config ID for more details.
Configure Entitlements Ensure that you have the required entitlements to create a Table Row.
Create Communication Style configuration Ensure that you have created Communication Style that need to be associated to the Content Data Table Row configuration. See Creating a Style for more details.
Create Rule configuration Ensure that you have created Rule configuration that you want to associate to the Table Row. See Creating a Rule for more details.

Steps involved in creating a Table Row

To create a Table Row configuration, follow these steps:
  1. Creating a table Row
  2. Creating a Version
  3. Associating Communication Style

Creating a Table Row

To create a Table Row configuration, follow these steps:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Communication.
  3. Under Communication, select Content Data, select Table, and then select Table Row.
  4. On the Communication Content Data Table Row landing page, select Create.
  5. In Basic Information section, enter the Name, Long Name and Description (optional), to identify the Table Row. 
  6. In Status section, Active Date is set to the current date when the Table Row is created. You can modify it to a future date, if required. 
  7. Select Continue to create Table Row Version.

Creating a Table Row Version

Versions allow the creation of multiple iterations of a Table Row. The Active Date helps to control when each version of the Table Row becomes effective. While a Table Row can have several versions, at least one version must be created for a Table Row configuration to be saved.

To create a Table Row Version, follow these steps:

  1. In Basic Information section, enter the Name and Description (optional), to identify the Communication Content Data Table Row Version.
  2. In Status section, Active Date is set to the current date when the Communication Content Data Table Row Version is created. You can modify it to a future date.
  3. Select Save to save the information and continue associating style, or Save & Exit to save and return to the landing page.

(Optional) Associating Communication Style

After saving the Table Row Version details, you need to associate the Communication Style that would specify the style of the row.

To add Table Row Version Association, follow these steps:

  1. On Update Communication Content Data Table Row page, under Associations, select Add next to Communication Style.
  2. Select the Communication Style that you want to associate. This redirects you to the Add Contextual Association(s) to Style(s) page.
  3. On Add Contextual Association(s) to Style(s) page, selectedit icon to modify the Style.
  4. Select Add Rule under Rule column, and select the Rule that you want to associate to the Communication Style.
  5. Select check mark to save the changes or cross markto discard the changes.
  6. Select Continue to return to Update Communication Content Data Table Row Version page.
  7. Select Save to save the information, or Save & Exit to save and return to the landing page.

Maintaining a Content Data Table Row Configuration

Introduction

You can update or delete Content Data Table Row configuration to cater to the changing business needs.  When you replace or add new associations, ensure that those configurations belong to the same Config ID that you used to create the Table Row configuration. If the initial Config ID used for creating a Table Row Configuration is closed, and if you want to edit the Table Row configuration, see Editing a Configuration after Closing the Config ID.

You can update the following Content Data table Row configuration information:
  • Editing a Table Row Configuration: Update the basic information of the Table Row configuration, Active Date. You can add child Version under the same configuration if the Config ID is open. 
  • Editing a Table Row Version: Update the basic information of the Version and Active Date, remove Associations, add a sibling Version, or duplicate an existing Version. 
  • Deleting a Table Row Version: Delete a Version that you are no longer using, if the Config ID is open. 
  • Deleting a Table Configuration: Delete a Table Row configuration that you are no longer using, if the Config ID is open. 

Editing a Table Row Configuration

You can edit the basic information and Active Date of a Table Row configuration.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application. 
  2. From Menu, select Communication. 
  3. Under Communication, select Content Data, select Table, and then select Table Row. This redirects you to Communication Content Data Table Row page.
  4. To edit the Table Row configuration, follow either one of these options from the Communication Content Data Table Row landing page: 
    1. From More Menu in Action column of the respective Table Row configuration, select Edit. 
    2. From the Name column, select the required Table Row configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit. 

      This redirects you to the Update Communication Content Data Table Row page.

  5. On Update Communication Content Data table Row page, modify the information and update and Active Date, if required.
  6. To add child version, select Action from the top right corner, and then select Add Child. You need to provide the required information and Active Date of the new Version.

Editing a Table Row Version

You can modify the Version of the Table Row configuration. You can duplicate the existing version or add sibling version to create another one.

Perform the following steps: 
  1. From the left pane of Update Communication Content Data table Row  page, navigate to the Version and modify the basic information and Active Date, if required.
  2. To remove the Associations, select Expand All under Associations section. Select the More Menu under Action column of the respective associations and then select Remove.
  3. To edit the Association, select Expand All under Associations section. Select the More Menu under Action column of the respective associations and then select Edit. This redirects you to Add Contextual Association(s) to Style(s) page.
    1. Selectedit icon to modify the Style.
    2. Select check mark to save the changes or cross markto discard the changes.
  4. To add sibling version, select Action from the top right corner, and then select Add Sibling. You need to provide all required information and Active Date of the new version.
  5. Select Duplicate to Create New Version from Actions on the top right corner, to duplicate the existing version under the same Table Row configuration. You need to provide the required information and Active Date of the new version. The Description and Associations for the new Version will be duplicated from the previous Version.

Deleting a Version

To delete the Table Row Version, it must not be associated to any configurations. If the Table Row configuration has only one version and if you delete that version, then the corresponding Table Row configuration also gets deleted.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Communication and then select Content Data.
  3. Under Content Data, select Table, and then select Table Row. This redirects you to the Communication Content Data Table Row landing page.
  4. Follow either one of these options from the Communication Content Data Table Row landing page:
    1. From More Menu in Action column of the respective Table Row configuration, select Edit.
    2. Select the Name of the respective Table Row configuration. This redirects you to the Summary page of the configuration. Select Edit.
  5. From the left pane, navigate to the Version you want to delete.
  6. If there are any associations, remove the association.
    1. Under Associations section, select Expand All.
    2. Under Action column, select Remove corresponding to the association.
    3. Repeat the step to remove all the associations before deleting the Version.
  7. On Update Communication Content Data Table Row Version page, from Actions from the top right corner, select Delete. 
  8. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm. 

Deleting a Table Row Configuration

You can delete a Table Row configuration if it is no longer required. It must not be associated to any other configuration and all its Version configurations (except one) should have been deleted. Before deleting the configuration, you must ensure that the initial Config ID used for the configuration creation is open.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application. 
  2. From Menu, select Communication and then select Content Data.
  3. Under Content Data, select Table, and then select Table Row. This redirects you to the Communication Content Data Table Row landing page.
  4. To delete the Table Row configuration, follow either one of these options from the Communication Content Data Table Row landing page:
    1. From More Menu in Action column of the respective Table Row configuration, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm. 
    2. From More Menu in Action column of the respective Table Row configuration, select Edit. This redirects you to the Update Communication Content Data Table Row page. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
