16.4.2 Limitations

Following are the limitations of Data Quality Rules and Groups in 23.2.1:

• The Edit option is not allowed for published custom DQ rules of type “Mandatory”.
• For published custom DQ rules, Rule type, Base Entity and Attribute cannot be edited.
• You cannot sort DQ Rule /DQ Group and its attributes in the edit screens.
• Multiple entities' rules are not allowed in the DQ Group. You must define DQ group only for one entity. For any change in entity, you must define a new DQ Group.
• You cannot delete DQ Groups which are in Published, Approved, or Submit status. You can only delete DQ groups in the Draft or Returned status.
• You can edit only one Custom DQ rule at a time. To edit the next Custom DQ Rule, close the edit window and start from the control extensions page.
• Colon (:) is not allowed in the Description field of Custom DQ rule/group. Editing or saving the rule or group will not fail but you cannot publish such rules or groups as they will fail.
• Custom DQ Mandatory rule is a combination of Null and Blank Rule.
