17.3 Required Privileges to Edit/Save a RECON Report

You must have the necessary privileges to save a report or dashboard page that contains HTML markup. The HTML markup present in the column headings, table headings, text views, ticker views, narrative views, the print header, or the print footer must be removed before you save a report.

  1. Login to AFCS with Administrator privileges and select Dashboards from the left pane.
  2. In the Analytics page, click the avatar icon on the top right and select Administration and then click Manage Privileges.
    You must add the following privileges to the user.
    • Actions >> Save Actions containing embedded HTML
    • Answers >> Save Content with HTML Markup
    • SOAP >> Access HtmlViewService Service
  3. To add the privileges to the user:
    1. Search for Save Actions containing embedded HTML.
    2. Click the user name link.
    3. Click the Add icon and enter the user name in the Name text box.
  4. Search for Save Content with HTML Markup and repeat the steps 3b, and 3c.
  5. Search for Access HtmlViewService Service and repeat the steps 3b, and 3c
  6. Navigate to Data Visualization page with Administrator privileges. On the Home page, click the required SLA and then click Data Ingestion. Click View Data. Click Go.
    The Oracle Analytics page is displayed.
  7. Click on the Navigator icon in the Header and select Console.
  8. Click System Settings > Security and enable the Allow HTML/JavaScript/CSS Content option and click Restart.
    Click Yes to confirm the restart operation. This will restart BIPS that causes a few minutes of down time.
