15.11.1 Overview
When a Regulatory Body asks a Bank or a Financial Institution to revise, make a correction, and re file the Report for a prior Reporting Period, the Restatement Support Feature can be used to correct and re file the Report. In the Restatement Support Feature, using the Data Version Property, the Bank or a Financial Institution can make the required modifications or add a few more data records to the Existing Report or delete the records from an Existing Report. The Start Date and End Date Attributes of Dimensions support the Backdated Run Execution. Out-of-the-box Run Pipelines are configured to use the Latest Record Indicator to select the appropriate Dimension Attributes irrespective of an Execution Date (Extraction Date). Therefore, the Start Date or End Date Attributes need to be used while rerunning the Report for a prior Date. A Backdated Run Execution for the Restatement Support is similar to a regular Run Execution.
Restatement of Ledger Balance and Movement Information
AFCS supports restatement of ledger information. ‘Restatement’ here refers to obtaining the latest balance and movement information for a retrospective date referring the latest as-of and effective dates. Please note that no specific process pipeline execution is necessary to handle backdated journals – journals that have effective date prior to a given as-of date. Once the journals are processed by balance computation process pipelines, should restatement be required, ‘Balance Computation Management Ledger Incremental Results Area Load’ pipeline should be executed. This pipeline will refresh Results as relevant. Please note that the process pipeline mentioned, ‘Balance Computation Management Ledger Incremental Results Area Load’, will incrementally update present and past dates' balance and movement information where relevant, as indicated by journals activity post reception from Financial Cloud and decomposition. Once concluded, the latest balance and movement information for retrospective effective dates and the latest will be available to access via reports and extracts. Please refer to Result Entity section in the AFCS Data Catalog User Guide for details on ‘Balance Computation Management Ledger Incremental Results Area Load process pipeline’. Additionally, reference for reports and extracts are available from Period to Date and OOTB Extract for Management Ledger As Of Effective Date, respectively.
