18.8.3.1 Configuring Management Ledger Segments to Default Value

This feature allows users to specify, for each ledger and eligible ML segment, whether the segment value should be derived from the Management Ledger or assigned using a predefined dimension member value. For ledgers that do not have specific ML segment mappings, the system uses the "Default" ledger mapping and applies any saved user-defined defaults.

To configure ML segment default values for ledgers, follow these steps:

1. Login to the AFCS application.
2. On the Home page, navigate to Administration and select Revaluation- ML Segment Value Assignment tab. The list of Ledgers to which the ML segments or Dimension members are mapped is displayed.
3. Click Open against the corresponding ledger to configure the dimension value.
   By default, the segment value is assigned to "As per ML" option in the User interface.
4. Select the Dimension Member option from the drop down list and assign the corresponding Dimension Member Code.
   Following are the validations for selecting Dimension member codes:

   • If Dimension member code is not entered, "Code is required." message is displayed.
   • If Dimension member code entered is too long, then the`Value is too long. Maximum length is <---> message is displayed.
   • If Dimension member code entered is invalid, the "Code not found." message is displayed.
   • If Dimension member code entered is valid, the "Code validated." message is displayed.
5. Click Save to save the mapped segment value. The updated Revaluation- ML segment value assignment is displayed in the summary page.

   Note:

   On the Revaluation-ML Segment Value Assignment page, click Columns icon to enable or disable any column that users wish to hide or list in the summary page.
