Sqoop Configuration

Sqoop installation through Cloudera® Manager allows the user to load data from the RDBMS tables into Hive tables. Two types of Sqoop implementations are supported:

  • Sqoop 1 (Sqoop 1.4x) – in Client mode. This mode uses Sqoop export.
  • Sqoop 1 (Sqoop 1.4x) – in Cluster mode. OFSAAI first SSHs to the Sqoop node on the cluster, and then executes the export command.
