Attributes

Attributes refers to the distinguished properties or qualifiers that describes a dimension member. Attributes may or may not exist for a simple dimension. Attributes section is available within the Dimension Management section of Financial Services Applications module.

To open the Attributes window, from the LHS menu, select Common Tasks, select Unified Analytical Metadata, select Dimension Management, and then select Attribute.

This illustration shows the Attributes window, which displays the list of pre-defined Dimension Attributes with the other details such as the Numeric Code, Name, Data Type, Required, and Seeded. The window has the Dimension and Search pane. In the Dimension pane, you need to select the Dimension. In the Search pane, you can specify the details of the attributes in this pane, you can also add, View, Edit, Copy, Check Dependencies, and Delete the results.

The Attributes window displays the list of pre-defined Dimension Attributes with the other details such as the Numeric Code, Name, Data Type, Required, and Seeded. You can search for a specific Attribute based on Numeric Code, Name, or Data Type and view the list of existing definitions within the system.
