7.8.3.6 Behavior Patterns

Behavior Pattern Data is retrieved when the Cash Flow Engine must process an instrument with an Amortization Code in the Behavior Pattern Range from 70000 to 99999. The amortization code from the Detailed Instrument Record is matched to the set of Behavior Pattern Data with the same code. If no match is found to the amortization code from the Detail Record, the record is processed as a Non-Amortizing Instrument.

If the Behavior Pattern Rule is mapped to Forecast Rate Scenario, then the Behavior Pattern specified at the Instrument Level is ignored. The Behavior Pattern selected in the rule for a given product-currency combination is used instead.
