Oracle Financial Currency Transaction Reporting
Supplement change contains Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) functionality. This functionality has a restricted use and is to be used only for the following purposes:
- CTR supports the e-filing of cash transactions that are greater than $10,000 or multiple transactions that aggregate to greater than $10,000. The Currency Transaction Reports are created either at the branches or through the end of day files, where CTR aggregates multiple transactions performed at the branch, ATMs and Vaults. In addition, this application also captures and reports Monetary Instrument Purchases.
- A Currency Transaction Report can be generated through the following methods: System-Generated Currency Transaction Reports, Manual Creation of Currency Transaction Reports, and Branch-Generated Currency Transaction Reports.
- CTR covers three scenarios - Customer Focus, TIN Focus, and Conductor Focus.
- CTR follows PMF workflow.
- Report Type: Initial, Fincen BackFiling and Correct/Amend Report
- CTR Roles: CTR Viewer, CTR Analyst, Supervisor, QA Analyst, DOEP E-File Analyst, CTR E-File Analyst, and Exemption Analyst
- E-File Generation: Users generate E-File output in .xml format to submit to the regulator.
- SDTM: The Currency Transaction Report (CTR) enables batch e-filing through FinCEN's Secure Data Transfer Mode (SDTM), a secure method for transferring batch submissions from an organization's internal server to the BSA E-Filing server. If your system is configured to automatically use SDTM for filing, you can still generate an e-file via the Generate E-file window; however, manual uploading or tracking of the new e-file is not possible.
