10.2.4 Job Options Tab

Each job editor contains a Job Options tab (Figure 65). Use the Job Options tab for the following:

  • Enter the job name (up to 80 alphanumeric characters) in the Description field.
  • Assign a status code to the job by selecting a value from the Status drop-down list:
    • NEW: Run the job immediately.
    • IGN: Retain the job. Use this status when setting up a job as a template, copying, and modi- fying it for subsequent runs.
    • RES: The job was previously run but failed due to errors. Before setting the job to this status, you should correct the errors.

    Note:

You cannot change the Status to ERR, RUN, or FIN.

Other read-only fields on the Job Options tab include the following:

  • ID: Unique number the system assigns to a new job
  • Creator: Login ID of the user who creates a job
  • Start Time: Start time and date when the system last executed the job

Completing the Job Options tab is usually the first step in creating any type of job.
