Copying a Scenario

To copy a scenario, follow these steps:

1. From the Scenario menu of the Rule Scenario Editor, select Copy Scenario.

   A new copy of the scenario displays.

2. Click Save As and then provide a new name for the scenario.

Caution:

When copying a scenario, the following message displays when a scenario contains a threshold or dataset that contains thresholds:

You are attempting to copy a scenario that uses a dataset(s) that includes a threshold(s). If you copy this scenario and alter the thresholds, you also alter the threshold(s) for any other scenario that uses this dataset(s). In the Administration Tool’s Threshold Editor, you can only modify the threshold value from the original scenario.

Use extreme caution when copying a scenario with this characteristic, because you create dependencies among scenarios. Changing thresholds affects both the original and copied scenarios.
