Generating a Pattern Report

Use the following guidelines when generating pattern reports:

• Name the generated scenario report using elements from the scenario. A desired format may be scenario name_pattern ID, since pattern ID is a unique parameter within any given scenario.
• Print in landscape to ensure that the formatting is accurate and the printed report is readable.

To generate a pattern report, follow these steps:

1. From the Windows menu of the DataSet Editor, select Rule Patterns.

   The Rule Scenario Editor window displays.

2. From the scenario navigation tree area, navigate to the desired pattern element.
3. Double-click the pattern ID in the scenario navigation tree area.

   The pattern information displays in the Rule Scenario Editor window.

4. From the Scenario menu of the Rule Scenario Editor, select Generate Pattern Report.

   Alternatively: Click icon from the toolbar.

   The Scenario/Pattern Report dialog box displays.

5. Select the location where you want to save the generated pattern report by navigating via the Look In field.
6. Type the desired file name in the File Name field.
7. Click Report.

   The system creates the report and saves it to the specified directory. You can then open and print the report through your IE browser.
