Sub-Rules

Use a sub-rule within a rule pattern to:

• Select a dataset for evaluation.
• Define constraints against the associated records.
• Specify attributes within the dataset that represent the focus as the primary rule.
• Define variables or bindings (sub-rules calculate variable sums, counts, minimums, maximums, and averages).
• Indicate whether dataset rows are recorded as matches.
• Define thresholds and variable or bindings instantiated in the primary rule, preceding sub-rules, and preceding checkpoints within rule constraints and variable or bindings.
