5.4.1.1.3 Hierarchy Code Mapping

Hierarchy Code Mapping allows users to configure their own hierarchy codes for General Ledger (GL) and Legal Entity mappings. Users can configure the custom hierarchy codes available within their master data management system.
This section explains how to access, view, and update hierarchy code mappings for General Ledger and Legal Entity dimensions in the Reconciliation Type configuration.

The feature allows users to replace previously seeded hierarchy codes with their own custom codes.

  1. From Reconciliation Type → Type Configuration, click on the Hierarchy Code Mapping tab.
The table displays the hierarchy code details:

    Table 5-4 Hierarchy Code Mapping

    Edit Opens the edit pop-up.

    Note:

Hierarchy code is case sensitive, and leading or trailing spaces will be trimmed.
  2. Click the Edit icon next to the dimension you want to modify.
The Edit Hierarchy pop-up window appears.
  3. Enter or update the Mapped Hierarchy Code.
  4. Ensure the code matches one that exists in your hierarchy dimension data.
  5. Click Save on the pop-up window.

    Note:

Use the Save button only in the pop-up window for line items during hierarchy code mapping. Do not use the Save button on the main screen for this action.
  6. Navigate to the Reconciliation Type screen and refresh the metadata by choosing Refresh Metadata.
  7. After metadata refresh, redirect to PMF screen and perform Hierarchy Resave.
