3.4.1 Glossary Extension

The Glossary Extension feature allows you to extend seeded glossaries without altering published glossaries. By using prefixes and extensions, users can add or tailor business terms and entities in a separate, customer-managed layer that remains upgrade-safe while preserving verified data.
  1. Navigate to Glossaries.
  2. Locate the required seeded glossary (for example, Basel Regulatory Capital Calculator).
  3. Click the More Actions (⋯) menu.
  4. Select Extend.

    This opens the Application Catalog Extension wizard.

    Field Description
    Catalog Name The Catalog Name is predefined from the seeded glossary and are read-only.

    They identify the catalog you are extending.

    Description The description is predefined from the seeded glossary and are read-only.
    Prefix Name Enter a unique Prefix Name that identifies all objects created in the extension.
    Upload catalog data file for the extensions

    You may upload an Excel file to bulk-create extension content. Note: Format: .xlsx

    • Maximum size: 5 MB
    • Must follow the provided catalog template

    Note:

    Before upgrade, ensure all glossaries, glossary mappings and ADS connectors are in Published state.
  5. After uploading a valid file, click Continue to proceed to the Review step. If the file isn't uploaded or valid, the Continue button will not proceed.
  6. Click Review and Confirm to review all entered details. Make changes if necessary and submit to finalize the mapping. At any point, click Cancel to exit without saving your progress.
