New Features in this Release

Oracle Insurance Accounting Analyzer Extension Pack bundles the following new features in version 8.1.2.4.0. For detailed information about the usage of the listed features, see the respective product User Guides on OHC Documentation Library.
  • The Extension Pack (EP) templates for GMM and VFA are enhanced to include the following sections under ‘Movement Analysis’:
    • Present Value Of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Premium
    • Present Value Of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Commission
    • Present Value Of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Claims
    • Present Value Of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Expenses
    • Present Value Of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Policy Loans
    • Present Value Of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Loss Component
  • The following additional section is added to the VFA EP template under ‘Movement Analysis’:
    • Present Value of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Tax
  • The Extension Pack (EP) templates for GMM Reinsurance are enhanced to include the following sections under ‘Movement Analysis’:
    • Present Value Of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Reinsurance Premium
    • Present Value Of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Reinsurance Acquisition Cost
    • Present Value Of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Reinsurance Claims
    • Present Value Of Future Cash Flows (LFRC)- Reinsurance Expenses
    • Loss Recovery
    • A new report called Detailed Liability for Remaining Coverage has been added for both GMM and VFA direct and GMM reinsurance-held. The following are the key features of this report: All the broken-down components of PVFCF-LFRC (Present value of future cash flows for the liability for remaining coverage) like premiums, commissions, claims, expenses, and others are disclosed. Please refer to the Reports document on MOS to find a snapshot of each of these views.
  • The Extension Pack (EP) templates for PAA Reinsurance are enhanced to include the following sections under ‘Movement Analysis’:
    • Reinsurance Premium Net Of Ceding Commission
    • Reinsurance Acquisition Cost
    • A new report called Detailed Expected Recoveries for Remaining Coverage has been added for PAA Reinsurance held. Please refer to the Reports on MOS to for a snapshot of each of these views.
    • A new report called ‘Roll Forward for PAA Reinsurance’ has been added for PAA Reinsurance held. Please refer to the Reports on MOS document to find the snapshot of each of these views.
  • You can now add a new section to any extension pack calculation template under either 'Movement Analysis' or 'Reconciliation' the Output Parameters on the Calculation Configuration screen.
  • The application allows you to hide a variable from the Calculation Preference screen. The Soft Delete button has been added to support this enhancement.
  • A new feature to plug in the opening balances of all the LFRC components (For example, premiums, commissions, claims, expenses, and others) and the LIC components (For example, IBNR, RBNA, OCR, Claims payable, and others) into database tables are made available. This is particularly useful when customers are moving their calculations from IIA to IIAEP, or from other products to IIAEP, and do not intend to re-start running the calculations from transition onwards.
  • Subledger
    • A new drill-down Subledger Report has been added that connects the numbers in standard disclosures with Journal Entries.
    • OOB Subledger Standard Definitions have been aligned for the modifications that were done to the CSM templates.
