Associating the Terms and Conditions with a Hierarchy Entity

Prerequisites

To associate the terms and conditions with a hierarchy entity, you should have:

  • Hierarchy entity defined in the application

  • Terms and conditions defined in the application

Procedure

To associate the terms and conditions with a hierarchy entity:

  1. Click the Menu link in the Application toolbar.
    A list appears.
  2. From the Main menu, select Deal Modelling and Simulation and then click Mapping Terms and Conditions.
    The Mapping Terms and Conditions screen appears.
  3. Click the Add button in the Page Title area of the Mapping Terms and Conditions screen.

    The Mapping Terms and Conditions screen appears. It contains the following sections:

    • Main - Used to specify the details of the hierarchy entity or price item. It contains the following fields:

      Field Name Field Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
      Search By Used to indicate whether you want to associate the terms and conditions to a hierarchy entity or price item. The valid values are:

      • Price Item

      • Hierarchy Entity

      		 Yes
      Price Item Used to indicate the price item to which you want to associate the terms and conditions.
      Note:

      This field appears when the Price Item option is selected from the Search By list.

      The Search (The Search Icon) icon appears corresponding to the Price Item field. On clicking the Search icon, the Price Item Search window appears.

      		 Yes
      Hierarchy Entity Used to indicate the hierarchy entity to which you want to associate the terms and conditions.
      Note:

      This field appears when the Hierarchy Entity option is selected from the Search By list.

      The Search (The Search Icon) icon appears corresponding to the Hierarchy Entity field. On clicking the Search icon, the Hierarchy Entity Search window appears.

      		 Yes

    • Terms and Conditions - Used to associate the terms and conditions with the hierarchy entity or price item. It contains the following fields in a gird:

      Field Name Field Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
      Terms and Conditions Used to indicate the terms and conditions that you want to associate with the hierarchy entity or price item.
      Note: The list includes only those terms and conditions which are already defined in the system.
      		 Yes
      Default Used to indicate whether the terms and conditions of the hierarchy entity or price item should be defaulted in a deal.
      Note: You must specify one default terms and conditions for a hierarchy entity or price item.
      		 No
  4. Select the Hierarchy Entity option from the Search By list.
    A field appears corresponding to the Search By list.
  5. Enter the hierarchy entity to which you want to associate the terms and conditions.
  6. Enter the required details in the Terms and Conditions section.
  7. If you want to associate more than one terms and conditions with the hierarchy entity, click the Add (The Add Icon) icon and then repeat step 6.
    Note: However, if you want to disassociate the terms and conditions from the hierarchy entity, click the Delete (The Delete Icon) icon corresponding to the respective terms and conditions. You can disassociate the terms and conditions from the hierarchy entity when it is not used in a deal.
  8. Click Save.
    The terms and conditions are associated with the hierarchy entity.
