Inspect the Box

Verify that the box containing the terminal hasn't been opened and that the security seal is intact. The security seal is a label stuck across the lid of the box. If the security seal is not intact, do not unpack or use the terminal. Contact your Oracle representative for assistance.

Unpack and Inspect the Terminal

  1. Unpack the box and verify the serial number on the terminal is the same as the serial number on the box.

  2. Inspect the terminal for tampering. Check for missing seals or screws, additional wires or labels, holes in the device, and anything inserted in or attached to any part of the terminal.

If any of the above checks fail, do not use the terminal. Contact your Oracle representative for assistance.

Getting Started

Connect to Wi-Fi

  1. Select your language from the Welcome screen, and then tap the arrow button.
  2. Turn on the WLAN switch and select the + symbol.
  3. The terminal scans for Wi-Fi networks.
  4. Choose the desired network from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password or select Add manually entering the name (SSID) of the Wi-Fi network and the Wi-Fi password.
  5. Select OK confirm.

    The terminal sets the network as default automatically and connects to it.

    A Wi-Fi icon is shown at the top of the display.

After Boarding the Terminal

If you need to change Wi-Fi settings after boarding the terminal:

  1. Select Settings, and then select Network.

  2. Enter your passcode. Note: Contact your Payment Administrator in your organization for the passcode.

  3. Select Wi-Fi. You can now:
    • Turn Wi-Fi on or off using the Wi-Fi toggle switch.

    • Change IP settings.

    • Add another network as described above.

Turn the Power On/Off

Note:

If you turn on the payment terminal for the first time or after it is off for a long time, it may make a maintenance call to synchronize the configuration and update the software. This can take 10 to 20 minutes.
Turn on the terminal
  1. Connect the terminal to a power supply.

  2. During startup the display turns on and off a few times.
Reboot the terminal
  1. Go to Settings and select Power.

  2. Enter your passcode. Note: Contact your Payment Administrator in your organization for the passcode.

  3. Select Restart and confirm.

Turn off the terminal
  1. Disconnect the terminal from the power supply.

Payment Terminal Menus

Your payment terminal has a menu with options related to payments, and a menu with options related to configuration. The access to some menu options is protected by passcodes. Contact your Payment Administrator in your organization for the passcode.

Settings

  • Device info: view information about the payment terminal, like the serial number, configuration version, and payment location details. Update the software version.

  • Network: enable and configure network connections. Enable airplane mode.

  • Configuration: view, update, or remove the configuration version.

  • Display: adjust the screen brightness.

  • Diagnostics: run network connection tests or send us a diagnostic report.

  • Power: restart or power off the terminal.

  • No passcode required:

    • Device info

    • Diagnostics

  • Admin & Settings passcode:

    • Configuration

    • Network

    • Software

    • Power

Transactions

  • History: view transactions stored on the terminal.

  • Totals: view a transaction totals report. Reset transaction totals.

  • Transactions passcode required:

    • History

    • Totals

Device Info

To view information about the terminal:

  • Select Settings > Device info.

The Device info screen shows:

  • Model, serial number, and IP address of the terminal.
  • Software version and configuration version that the terminal currently uses.
  • A button to show a QR code with device info.
