Turning Off the Workstation

You can turn off the workstation using the following methods:

• Operating system shut down: For workstations with Microsoft Windows, use the Start button Power option. Workstations with Oracle Linux for MICROS do not provide operating system shutdown controls.

• Workstation power button: Press and release the power button to perform a graceful shutdown. For workstations with Oracle Linux for MICROS, the shutdown process may take up to 10 seconds to complete.
