2 Before You Install the Recipe

Perform the following configuration tasks to successfully run the recipe.

Configure Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM

To access HCM from OIC and to create employees in HCM, following must be performed on the HCM instance.

  1. Perform HR Core and Payroll Configurations in HCM. Important base configurations include:

    1. Basic Enterprise Structure including Legal Structure, General Ledger, Org Structures, and Business Unit

    2. Work Structure like Job Function, Job Family, Grades, Grade Rates, Job, Department

    3. Payroll Definitions

  2. Create a separate integration user account in HCM to access HCM from OIC.

    Log in to the HCM instance as an Administrator and perform the following tasks:
    1. Create an user account for OIC which will be required to connect to HCM from OIC using the Oracle HCM adapter

    2. Assign roles to the user account. See Assign Required Roles to an Integration User for more information.

    3. Assign the roles needed for OIC to perform the following operation:

Configure Oracle MICROS Labor Management

  1. LM should be configured with basic settings:

    • Organization and Location

    • Labor pay rules

    • Pay period calendar

    • Employee privilege

    • Work Rules, Work Hours

    • Wage and Tip Law including child labor law

    • Job category Master, Job Definition & Assignment

  2. Note down the SOAP endpoint for labor management WSDL (https://<public_url>/labor/labor?wsdl).

  3. In Reporting and Analytics, go to Labor Management, click on Administer API User, create a LM API user and remember the token and password. This will be used for the OIC connection along with the SOAP endpoint mentioned above
