4 Activate and Run the Recipe

After you’ve configured the connections and lookup tables, activate the recipe package, and run it.

  1. On the Configuration Editor page, click Activate in the title bar. In the Activate Package dialog, click Activate again. A confirmation message is shown informing you the integrations have been submitted for activation. Refresh the page to view the updated status of the integrations.

  2. Run the recipe.

    1. On the Configuration Editor page, select Oracle MICROS LM to Oracle HCM Timecard sync integration flow and click Run.

    2. On the resulting pop-up dialog, click Submit Now.

    3. A confirmation window opens, which contains the Instance ID, click the Instance ID.

    4. Now on the Track Instances page, you will see the integration flows of the recipe being triggered and executing successfully.

      1. The Integration Oracle MICROS LM to Oracle HCM Timecard sync calls the Oracle MICROS HCM Timecard Import for each row in the export file. OIC invokes HCM's REST API to import Timecards into HCM Time and Labor.

      2. Once the execution of Oracle MICROS HCM Timecard Import is completed successfully, observe the payload received by the integration in Activity Stream and make note of the values in reporterId for some records.

        Note:

        The R&A Standard Payroll export file is a zip file which file contains the timecard file for processing. To view a timecard export sample, refer to the Appendix.

  3. At any stage while running the recipe, you can monitor the execution of the integration flows in Oracle Integration.

    1. On the Configuration Editor page of the recipe, select any integration flow.

    2. Click Run, and then click Track Instances.

    3. On the Track Instances page, you will see the integration flows of the recipe being triggered and executing successfully.

  4. Sign into HCM Time and Labor as the employee who you have made note of in the previous step (2. ii. - reporterId). Verify if the timecards are created.

    1. To view the Timecard created for the employee:

    2. In the Me section, navigate to Existing Time Cards, and verify the timecards have been created successfully.
