4 Activate and Run the Recipe

After configuring the connections and lookup tables, activate the recipe package and run it.

  1. On the Configuration Editor page, click Activate in the title bar. In the Activate Package dialog, click Activate again. A confirmation message informs that the integrations have been submitted for activation. Refresh the page to view the updated status of the integrations.

Activation of the integration makes the integrations subscribe to the respective events as explained in the previous sections.

  2. Validate Oracle MICROS IM Orders to SCM Requisitions integration:

    1. Create purchase orders in IM and run the Scheduler job to export the order file to the FTP location. The PO export files are located in the directory configured for the readDir in the ORACLE-BRT-Micros_OrderToReq lookup.

    2. The integration can be scheduled to run as per business requirements. However, for validation use the Run Now option to trigger the integration.
    3. Once the integration is triggered, it processes the order files from the FTP location and creates Purchase Requisitions (PR) in SCM. You will see one SCM Purchase Requisition per IM PO export file. Each PR has the line items which are part of the respective Order files.
    4. The integration then invokes the Oracle ERP Launch ESS Job integration, which triggers the Generate Order ESS job. You will see a PO created in SCM with all the imported Requisitions.
  3. Validate Oracle SCM Order Status to Oracle MICROS IM integration.

For each successfully created Purchase Requisition, the Order Acknowledgement file is updated with the respective Order details in the location specified in ORACLE-BRT-Micros_OrderToReq lookup.

At any stage while running the recipe, you can monitor the execution of the integration flows on the OIC Monitoring page.
  1. On the Configuration Editor page of the recipe, select any integration flow.

  2. Click Run, and then click Track Instances. On the Track Instances page, you will see the integration flows of the recipe being triggered and executing successfully.

Note:

If there are failures during integration run, you will see an instance of the integration flow on the integration monitoring page. You can track and re-submit the failed instance from the OIC Monitoring page.

The integrations are designed to send error notifications to the email address defined in the ORACLE-BRT-Micros_ErrorNotification_Config lookup.
