Upgrade Firmware and View Version

Once your payment device is onboarded, keep it on overnight. At 4:00 a.m. local time, devices are configured to reboot. Upon startup, the device may receive configuration updates and firmware upgrade instructions.

Payment devices that are powered off, disconnected from the cloud, or not onboarded at 4:00 a.m. will upgrade after they’ve received their next update or at the time of onboarding.

Follow these steps to validate a device's firmware version: 

  1. Press and hold down the 9 and the green o button.
  2. Enter the admin PIN, which is provided by Oracle Support.
  3. Press the green o button.
  4. Tap Config on the screen.
  5. Tap View.
  6. Tap Firmware to view the firmware version.
