8 Recipes
Recipes link sales items to stock items.
The Recipe Builder calculates the cost of goods sold by combining all ingredients required to prepare a dish or drink. Recipes can be configured for use across the entire organization or restricted to specific subsidiaries or locations.
Recipes can also include sub-recipes with no limit on nesting levels. For example, you can create a recipe for a dressing, use it as a sub-recipe in a salad recipe, and then reuse that salad recipe in other recipes. Using sub-recipes is strongly recommended because it simplifies recipe maintenance and improves consistency.
To use the Recipe functionality, including Production Recipes, your NetSuite account must
be licensed for the following features:
- Assembly Items
- Advanced Bill of Materials
- Work Orders
