Add Nutrients

The nutrients to be analyzed must be created manually in the system and then mapped to the corresponding nutrients in the catalog. Based on this mapping, nutritional information is read from the catalog and displayed for inventory items and in recipes when those items are added as ingredients.

1. On the Dashboard page, click Nutrients.
2. Click the Nutrients tab.
3. Click the Add button.
4. Enter the information as described in the following table:

   Table 6-1 Add Nutrients Fields

   Field	Description
   Nutrient	Enter the nutrient's name (for example, Glucose).
   Catalog Field	Select the corresponding catalog field from the drop-down list.
   Catalog Field Short Key	This field is automatically filled based on the information found.
   Catalog Field Unit	This field is automatically filled based on the information found.
   Nutrient Group	Select the nutrient group for the nutrient.
   Decimal Scale	Select the decimal scale for the nutrient.

5. Click Add to confirm or Cancel to close the dialog without changes.
