36 Resetting Daily Totals

A business day refers to the beginning and end times of a day of business. A business day can have any begin time, but typically a business day starts in the early morning hours during a slow or closed period of operations (for example, 3:00 a.m. or 4:00 a.m.). A calendar day always begins at 12:00 a.m.

The Start of Day (SOD) totals reset can be configured to run manually or automatically from the property. If the SOD is configured from the property level, all of its associated revenue centers have their totals resets occur at the same configured time.

Beginning with the Simphony 19.3.3.4 release, the Start of Day (SOD) daily totals reset can be configured to be automatically run after 12:00 noon, but before 12:00 (00:00) midnight, using the system’s current business date. This configuration method for resetting daily totals must be set to run automatically and is not supported to be run manually.

To reset daily check and employee totals, a property or revenue center must start a new business day.
