Enabling Simphony Transaction Services for Workstations

Starting with Simphony release 19.2, the following steps apply to workstations which are set as POSAPI Clients, and the POSAPI Clients you are upgrading to.

To enable Simphony Transaction Services (Gen1) or (Gen2) workstations:

  1. Select the property, click Setup, and then click Workstations.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. In the General Settings section, enable the following options based on which Transaction Services capabilities you would like to run on your workstations:
    • Enable Simphony Transaction Services (Gen1) Location API

    • Enable Simphony Transaction Services (Gen2) Location API

    • Enable Simphony Transaction Services (Gen2) Cloud API

    Oracle MICROS Food and Beverage recommends locations utilizing Simphony Transaction Services (Gen2) should have multiple workstations configured to receive orders. This ensures if one workstation loses its connection, or is turned off, other workstations are available to receive orders for the configured revenue center(s).

    From the General tab, for each workstation you want to run Simphony Transaction Services (Gen2), select the Enable Simphony Transaction Services (Gen2) Cloud API checkbox.

  4. Click Save.
