Step 1: Create Simphony Configuration and Content API account

To use the API, you need an API account. See the Oracle MICROS Reporting and Analytics User Guide for information on creating API accounts.

The following information is needed:

  • Username: The API account's unique username.

  • Email: The system will send an email with a link to configure the password upon account creation.

  • API Account Type: Simphony Configuration API.

  • Data Permissions: Set as appropriate.

The unique Client ID generated for the API account is used for authenticating when calling the Configuration and Content API.

A Welcome email is sent to the registered email address of the API account with instructions to set the password for the API account.
