Configuring a Property to Use QR Code Payments

  1. Activate QR code payments:
    1. Select the Enterprise, click Setup, and then click Enterprise Parameters.
    2. Click the Applications tab, and then select Activate QR Pay.

      The system automatically populates the Oracle Payments Organization Short Code, Oracle MICROS Payment Cloud Service, and Last Updated fields.

    3. Click Save.
  2. Assign a printer to the STS Gen 2 workstation:
    1. Select the property, click Setup, and then click Workstations.
    2. Double-click the STS Gen 2 workstation record.
    3. Click the Printers tab.
    4. Click the Select link next to the Guest Check Printer type, select the printer, and then click OK.

      If no printers are available, close the Workstations module, configure a printer and assign it to the STS Gen 2 workstation. See Configuring a Printer for more information.

    5. (Optional) Add a backup printer by clicking the Select link next to the Backup Printer type, selecting the printer, and then clicking OK.
    6. Click Save.
  3. Set up a service total tender media record that will print a QR code:
    1. Select the property, click Configuration, and then click Tender/Media.
    2. Add a record or double-click an exiting record.
    3. On the General tab, select Service Total from the Key Type drop-down list.
    4. Click the Options tab, and then click the Printing Options subtab.
    5. Select 99 - Print QR Pay QR Code.

      This allows the QR code to appear on the guest check that is printed using this service total tender.

    6. Click Save.
  4. Add a QR Pay Print button:
    1. Select the property, click Configuration, and then click Page Design.
    2. Open the transaction page on which to add the QR Pay Print button.
    3. On the Edit tab, click in the page area, and then click Button in the upper left area to add a button to the layout.
    4. Select Tender/Media from the Type drop-down list.
    5. Click the black arrow directly beneath the Type drop-down list, select the QR Pay Print service total tender media configured in Step 4, and then click OK.
    6. Click Save.
    7. On the POS client device, refresh the workstation database to download the latest EMC configuration changes.
