Adding a Revenue Center

  1. Select the property, click Setup, and then click RVC Configuration.
  2. Click the Insert icon This image shows the Insert icon. on the toolbar.
  3. From the Add Revenue Center dialog, enter the RVC Number and the RVC Name.
  4. (Optional) To copy information from an existing revenue center, select Copy from source Revenue Center from the Source Revenue Center section. The hierarchy panel and Modules To Copy fields become active.
    1. From the hierarchy panel, select the revenue center to use as the source revenue center.
    2. From the Modules to Copy section, select the modules you want to copy from the source revenue center. To automatically select all modules, click the Select All Modules link.
    3. (Optional) Select Distribute inherited records to distribute all records (defined and inherited) from the source revenue center to the new revenue center. Deselect this option to distribute only records defined at the source revenue center to the new revenue center.
    4. (Optional) Select If destination record is inherited, create override to create an override record in the new revenue center when an inherited definition exists.
    5. (Optional) Select Distribute Data Extensions if they exist to distribute data extension values if they exist.
  5. Click OK to copy the records from the source template revenue center to the new revenue center.
  6. If you want to manually configure the revenue center settings on the General tab, configure the following fields:

    Note:

    The revenue center location details listed here (excluding the optional items) are required to be configured if you are using the Oracle MICROS Payment Cloud Interface.
    1. (Optional) The Consumer Facing Name field in the General section is meant for users of Simphony Transaction Services (STS) Gen 2. If you want customers to view your Revenue Center name and location information via STS Gen 2, complete this section.

    2. Phone Number: Enter the phone number for the property.
    3. Address 1: Enter the address line 1 for the property.
    4. Address 2: Enter the address line 2 for the property.
    5. Address 3: Enter the address line 3 for the property.
    6. City: Enter the city the property is located.

      Note:

      For users who previously entered text in the Country and State/Region fields in the Properties and RVC Configuration modules prior to performing an upgrade to this release, Oracle MICROS Food and Beverage recommends (after upgrading) to access each Property and Revenue Center individually and update these fields using the drop-down lists now provided there. In an effort to make it easier for users to view the prior text entries for these fields, the old text is shown in red font in the Country and State/Region fields. Once completed, Data Transfer Service (DTS) jobs update the R&A database with the new settings.
    7. Country: Select the country in which the property is located from the drop-down list.

      Attention:

      When a country is first selected in the Country field and then saved, you cannot go back to assign a null or empty field again.
    8. State/Region: Select the state or region in which the property is located from the drop-down list.
    9. ZIP/Postal Code: Enter the ZIP or postal code for the property.
    10. Latitude and Longitude: Enter the longitude and latitude coordinates for the property in each respective field.
    11. Comment: (Optional) Enter additional information about the property in this free text field.
    12. Click Save.
  7. Toggle to Table view and select the following options as applicable for the new revenue center:
    • LDS Active: Select this option if the revenue center uses a Liquor Dispensing System (LDS), which is a third-party system used for pouring and tracking liquor and beverages, as well as mixed drinks.

    • KDS Controller: Select the KDS Controller to control the kitchen display system (KDS) order devices in the revenue center.

  8. Click Save.
After adding a new revenue center, restart the workstations to ensure changes are saved.
