Configuring Menu Items for GST

The following steps describe how to configure Menu Items for Australia GST.

1. In EMC, click Configuration, and then in the Menu Items section click Menu Items.
2. For Menu Items that are designated as GST free:

   • Select a Menu Item Class with no associated Tax Class

     OR

   • Select a Menu Item Class associated with a Tax Class linked to a 0% Tax Rate

3. For Menu Items that always include GST (for either order type):

   • Select Menu Item Classes that have the option 78 – Forgive Inclusive Tax disabled.

4. For Menu Items that include GST for Dine-in, but are GST-free for Takeaway:

   • Select Menu Item Classes that have the option 78 – Forgive Inclusive Tax enabled

5. Click Save.
