Properties with a high number of menu items can degrade performance on Castles mobile order and payment terminals, increasing the time it takes for data and supporting content (such as images) to download to the terminals. Consider the following:

• Using a wireless network instead of a wired network can further degrade performance.

• If your database has more than 10,000 menu items, device startup and download times can exceed 2 minutes.

• If your database has more than 25,000 menu items, startup and download times can exceed 5 minutes.

After the devices load the data and start up, performance normalizes.
