7 Kiosks

You can add kiosk clients to Simphony to process kiosk orders at your restaurant. You need the following to process kiosk orders:

  • Simphony 19.4.2 or later

  • Oracle MICROS Payment Cloud Service and Verifone P400 payment terminal

  • MICROS Express Station 410 running Microsoft Windows 10 in portrait orientation

  • Printer (Thermal IDN Epson TM-T88v printer or similar Bixolon printer)

  • Barcode scanner (Zebra Kiosk Barcode Scanner or LS/DS9208 connected through an RS422, DB9, or USB cable)

The following peripheral devices are not supported:

  • Magnetic card swiping and Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) cards for employee authentication

  • Scales

  • Fiscal

Verify that the following have been configured in the Simphony Enterprise Management Console (EMC) before continuing:

  • Properties

  • Menu items

  • Payments

  • Discounts

  • Service charges

  • Employee record for the kiosk
