Configuring the Service Host for CAPS in EMC
- To configure the Service Host for a hosted Enterprise with
Simphony Standard Cloud Service users:
- Select the property level, click Setup, and then click Workstations.
- Insert a new workstation record, and then double-click it to open in form view.
- On the General tab, enter the host name of the remote server where CAPS will be configured in the Address/Host Name field.
- Enter the Subnet Mask and the Default Gateway of the remote server where CAPS will be configured.
- If you are configuring CAPS as a Windows Service, select Is Windows Service. Otherwise, skip this step.
- Click Save.
- Click the Remove OPS From Service Host link, and then click Yes to confirm.
- To configure the Service Host for a hosted Enterprise with
Simphony Premium Cloud Service users:
- Select the Enterprise level, click Setup, and then click Service Hosts.
- Insert a new Service Host record, and then double-click it to open in form view.
- In the Host Name field, enter the host name of the remote server where CAPS will be configured.
- Enter the Subnet Mask and the Default Gateway of the remote server.
- If you are configuring CAPS as a Windows Service, select Is Windows Service. Otherwise, skip this step.
- Click Save.
- Select the property, click Setup, and then click Property Parameters.
- Click the Workstations tab.
- From the Service Hosts section, select the CAPS Service
Host created in Step 1 or 2, and then enter the Port number for CAPS configuration.
This Port is the unused port number and is different from the Egateway service port.
- Click Save.
