Connecting a Cash Drawer

Connect the cash drawer to the POS client using one of the following methods:

  1. (Windows and Linux devices) Connect the cash drawer cable to the cash drawer port on the workstation.

    Connect the cash drawer to the workstation with the cable, and then proceed to Configuring Use and Operations of a Cash Drawer.

  2. (Linux only) Connect the cash drawer cable to the printer, which is attached to the workstation.

    Connect the cash drawer cable to the built-in RJ11/RJ12 cash drawer kick port with one of the following printers connected to the Linux device:

    • Ethernet Roll Printer

    • Epson RS232 Thermal Roll printer

    Proceed to Configuring Use and Operations of a Cash Drawer.
