Infrastructure

Communication between the controller and access points can be disrupted by electromagnetic fields if data cables are installed near devices that emit such fields. Shielded cabling is recommended to prevent electromagnetic interference.

Unshielded network cables should never be installed near electrical sources, as the magnetic fields generated by electrical installations can disrupt data transmission.

Interference noise can be introduced in cabling by the following sources:
  • Fluorescent lighting
  • Electric motors
  • Transformers
  • Electrical installations
