40 Enterprise Cash Management
You can use the Enterprise Cash Management (ECM) module to track the amount of cash within a property. ECM enables you to monitor both the physical currency collected and the exact location of funds, such as tills, safes, bank deposits, and server banks.
ECM tracks currency as it moves through the following phases:
-
Entering the property: For example, through cash tenders, paid-ins, or change orders received from a bank.
-
Moving within the property: For example, from tills to a safe or a bank deposit.
-
Leaving the property: For example, through vendor payments, change given to guests, or bank deposits.
As cash moves through the operation, ECM records all currency transactions for reporting and auditing purposes.
