Employee Record

The employee record shows enterprise information, general settings, and roles for the system employee.

Field Description Data Type

Employee #

The object number is automatically generated when a system employee is added. You cannot change the object number.

Integer

Last Name

Enter each employee’s last name. This name prints on reports and is used in employee selection lists.

Alphanumeric

First Name

Enter each employee’s first name. This name prints on reports and is used in employee selection lists. It prints on guest checks and customer receipts if the check name is not defined.

Alphanumeric

Check Name

Enter a name to print on guest checks instead of the first name. The check name is used if the employee goes by a shortened version of their first name (for example, Tom instead of Thomas), a nickname, or to distinguish them from other employees with the same first name (for example, Tony G. or Tony M.).

If this field is left blank, the employee first name is printed. If both are left blank, no employee name prints on guest checks and customer receipts.

General Subtab

Language

Enter the employee’s language. This field defaults to the first language configured. The language selected determines the language in which text is shown to the employee in the EMC and workstation operations.

Add

Adds a record to the roles grid.

 

Delete

Deletes the selected record from the roles grid.

 

Help

Opens a help dialog which explains the roles grid.

 

Zone/Location

Select where this role is active for the employee.

List Choice

Role

Select which role is active for the employee at the specified zone/location. Roles are only shown if set to be visible for the selected zone/location.
