Post-Uploading Cloned Data Instructions
After you have successfully uploaded cloned data, you need to access the EMC for the new environment and perform the following:
Employee Configuration
Most personal information contained in employee records is not cloned during the data extraction process. Your new environment now contains only partial employee records which can be used to log in to the EMC (for example, as the default user). Users need to configure employee information such as their first and last name, password, email address, enable access to generate Reporting and Analytics reports, and so on.
See People and Privileges and Configuring Employee Privileges for Oracle Restaurants Reporting and Analytics for more information.
Reporting and Analytics Integration
Reporting and Analytics configuration data is not cloned. Users need to map all associated properties and revenue centers to the Reporting and Analytics environment.
Workstation Configuration
Existing workstations are erased during the cloning process. Workstations for the targeted location need to be updated with the correct host names, subnet masks, and default gateways.
See POS Workstations for more information.
Client Application Loader (CAL) Package Configuration
CAL packages are not cloned. As with standard operations, you need to assign CAL packages to the workstations. After this is complete, workstations with updated CAL packages can begin to process transactions.
See the Oracle Simphony Client Deployment Guide for more information.
