Integrity Services

Integrity is the security service that ensures that data is accurate, complete, and reliable and protects information against accidental or malicious modification while in transit or at rest.

Simphony uses different mechanisms to protect data integrity such as HMACs, digital signatures and secure protocols like TLS v1.2.

Simphony protects artifacts, such as CAL packages and SIM scripts, distributed to workstations against malicious modification through digital signatures generated at build time. Workstations verify these signatures before installing or processing these artifacts. If a discrepancy is detected, workstations reject them and report these events to their designated Simphony servers. Integrity check failures are treated as critical security events.
