If you are using a WHO-DD dictionary, determine whether you are using a pre-ICH or ICH format of the dictionary.

Make sure that the dictionary type for the dictionary that you want to load has been imported.

Make sure that the dictionary connection is established.

For more information, see Viewing the dictionaries available for a database connection.

Generate the schema for a dictionary.

The Dictionary Loader tool uses dictionary types to create dictionary schemas.

Load the dictionary data.

Load dictionary data into the database using the schema that you generated. The dictionary schema must exist before you can load data into it.

Activate the dictionary.

Dictionaries must be activated to be used for coding.
