About roles and rights

A right represents a privilege to access a feature in the application. Rights are defined by the application and control the pages that appear in the user interface and the actions available on each page. You cannot create new rights.

A role is a collection of rights that control access to the application. Roles describe the function that a user has in the application.

Roles and rights are managed in the Central Coding application for both self-hosted and Oracle-hosted environments.
