About job schedules

A job is a mechanism that the Central Coding application uses to get data from, and return data to the InForm application.

For each study, the Central Coding application runs the following types of jobs:

Jobs of the same type run serially on the adapter; each job starts as soon as the preceding job completes.

The Central Coding application runs the jobs for the studies associated with an adapter according to a user-defined timetable called job schedule.

The schedule works only if the Central Coding application is configured to work with job schedules for your organization.

Each adapter has one Get Requests and one Return Codes job schedule. The job queue for a job schedule runs synchronously with the ASAP (nonscheduled) job queues for the adapter.
