Migrating users to an Oracle SSO environment
If the Central Coding application has been updated to release 6.3 and migrated to an Oracle SSO environment, the application can migrate existing user accounts to the SSO environment. Role and work team assignments are transferred to the new environment as part of the migration.
An existing user is migrated to the SSO environment if the following conditions are met:
- In OHSIAMS, a delegated administrator has created the SSO user account and assigned it the Central Coding role.
- In Central Coding, on the System Configuration page, the option Allow User Migration is selected.
You can deselect the option after all users are migrated. The letter U appears on the status icon of users that have not yet migrated to the SSO environment.
- In Central Coding, you do not assign any roles to the SSO user before the account is migrated.
If you assign any roles to the user before the user account is migrated, previous role and work team assignments cannot be migrated to the SSO environment. If this happens, you must unmigrate the user:
- Make sure the user is not logged in.
- Select Admin > Management > Users.
The Users page appears.
- Select the user.
- Select Actions > Unmigrate.
The user status is reset and the account can be migrated.
- When logging in for the first time after Central Coding is migrated to the SSO environment, the user links the existing account to the account in the SSO environment. For more information, see Getting started in an environment migrated to Oracle SSO authentication.
