Field

Description

Coding Definition

The coding definition that the selected assignment rule uses to process coding requests.

Attempt autocode

Indicates whether the application attempts to autocode incoming requests.

Autocoding requires approval

Indicates whether autocoded values require approval. If selected, the application routes autocoded requests to the Approvals page so that an approver can review them.

Autocoding requires review

Indicates whether autocoded values require review. If selected, the application routes autocoded requests to the Coding Requests page and sets the status to Needs Review so that a coder can review them.

Interactive coding requires approval

Indicates whether interactively coded values require approval. If selected, the application routes interactively coded requests to the Approvals page so that an approver can review them.

Coding result requires delivery

Indicates whether the Central Coding application returns coded values to the InForm application.

Delete request after delivery

Indicates that, for a specified assignment rule, the application deletes coding requests that were coded and delivered to the source application.

This option is available only if the Show Delete Request After Delivery Option checkbox is selected on the System Configuration page.

Oracle recommends using this option as infrequently as possible.

Field

Description

Request property

The property on which to base the assignment rule.

  • ClientName—The name of the source application for which the Central Coding application is coding the request.
  • Product—The product type for the request. The Central Coding application defines this property.
  • ClientHost—The name of the server for the study.
  • Verbatim—The original reported text that describes the adverse event, disease, drug, or other item to be coded. This information comes from the source application.
  • DictType—The dictionary type.
  • StudyName—The name of the study.
  • Site—A unique identifier for the subject site. This information comes from the source application.
  • VisitName—The name of the visit. This information comes from the source application.
  • ItemType—The kind of item to be coded. This information comes from the source application.
  • FormName—The form RefName. This information comes from the source application.

Operators

The comparison value.

Value

The value for the Request property.

Green Plus Sign icon. Add the value or item.

Adds the specified value to the Rule text field.

Rule text

The assignment rule that the application evaluates, in simple syntax language.

Blue checkmark icon. Check the syntax of a rule.

Checks the syntax of the rule text. If the data in the Value field is invalid, the Central Coding application cannot assign incoming requests using the assignment rule.
