Fields

Table 22-8 Synonym List Information

Field Description

Synonym

A filter that identifies the items to view based on the name of the synonym. Searches are case-insensitive. The search supports the special characters *, %, ?, and _.

The search text field can be any text string and can contain wildcard characters to facilitate matching when the exact text is not known. The percent sign (%) or asterisk (*) matches any sequence of characters; the question mark (?) or underscore (_) matches any single character.

Dictionary

The coding dictionary, version, and culture associated with the synonym list.

Parent

The name of the synonym list that the selected list inherited. This field appears only if the list is inherited.

Field Description

Code

The classification level code value. Opens the View Full Coding dialog box, where you can view the full coding details for a coded item. The details include the dictionary name and version, the coded term and value, and the level of the dictionary hierarchy where the match was found.

Actions

Action Description

Accept

Accepts the proposed synonym and activates it in the synonym list.

Reject

Rejects the proposed synonym and removes it from the synonym list after you specify a reason for the change.

Activate

Changes the state of the selected synonym to Active after you specify a reason for the change.

Deactivate

Changes the state of the selected synonym to Inactive after you specify a reason for the change.

Promote

Adds the selected synonym to the parent synonym list. This option is available only for inherited synonym lists.

Mask

Hides the selected synonym in the parent synonym list. This option is available only for inherited synonym lists.

Unmask

Shows the selected synonym in the parent synonym list. This option is available only for inherited synonym lists.

Buttons

Action Description

Reject

Rejects the proposed synonym and removes it from the synonym list after you specify a reason for the change.
