User account statuses
Each user account has a status, as described in the following table.

Inactive Never Used ( |
The user profile exists, but it has not been activated. Accounts for new users have this status. |
Active Never Used ( |
The user profile is active, but the user has not attempted to log in. |
Active ( |
The user has successfully logged in and can access the application. New accounts must be activated before they can be used. |
Locked ( |
An active user account is locked if the user exceeds the maximum log-in attempts configured in the System Configuration setting Failed logon limit when using an incorrect password. The user can attempt to log in again after a set amount of time configured in the System Configuration setting Non-Super user lockout timeout. |
Inactive ( |
The user is in the system but cannot access the application. Inactive accounts can be activated. |
Terminated ( |
The user can no longer access the application. Termination is permanent and terminated accounts cannot be activated again. |
Invalid ( |
Database-only status. The user profile is being entered and is not yet saved. When the user profile is saved, it automatically changes to Inactive Never Used. |
